Thoroughly enjoyed the trip! Excellent Driver, she recommends the places the locals go to, not the touristy places. Hotel is conveniently located. Tour Guide works well with the Driver and everything was smoothly executed. Packing list for Hallasan summit in winter season must include hiking sticks as the ground (a lot of snow) is extremely slippery.

Overall, the event was alright since it doesn't really require a guide to handhold the participants. Some suggestions: 1. Too many activities cramped into too short a time thus felt very rushed and touch-and-go. 2. Instructions could had been shared with participants in the pre-event email instead of at the meeting spot especially since there was an email to remind participants of the timing and meeting place. I appreciate the guides squeezing in nuggets of information on Fort Siloso when the opportunities presented. Overall, the event was fine for a FOC event.

If there's a participation limit, then please impose it. Better than accepting more than 160 attendees and then changing it completely to something else on the day itself. I would not have gone if I knew this was a trip to Fort Siloso instead. One can go Foet Siloso oneself but not Tg Rimau. The group was also so big that the organizers simply couldn't lead the entire contingent as all ran loose at Fort Siloso.

The guides were professional. As the group size was big, some may not get to hear the commentary by the guides. But a link was provided for extra information about the attractions. H/e noticed a kid was using a net to scoop something from the low tide sea. A lady (not sure from SDC or 3playtopia) probably tried to discourage the kid from doing so. But the message was received in a bad taste. Maybe good to remind participants not to take away natural things from the ocean in the beginning of the walk. Overall a pleasant experience for the guided walk. Appreciate very much for organising this.

the actual tidal beach experience was totally disappointing. saw none of the natural rock formations sculpted by the sea, sea caves and tide pools teeming with life, wild marine life like crabs, starfish, and coral. i believe calling this a 'gem' is oversell. having 100+ people together was also quite overwhelming on the skywalk, tunnel, surrender chambers, tg rimau lookout. it felt like i was just seeing people rather than the sights (on the beach it was better as there was more space to spread out). i did appreciate the tour leader who gave a clear, informative briefing at the start. overall i would be apprehensive of joining other events by this organizer

The trip is great and all arrangements are well planned, well paced and well executed on the ground. There is also room for flexibility to the itinerary to suit the unpredictable weather so that we can achieve the maximum mileage from thr trip. Our main objective of this trip is to hike Mt. Hallasan and we did it 💪. The feeling is surreal and the team spirit is awesome. A big shout out to Wei Xi (guide) and Jia Ren (driver) for leading us on this amazing expedition and tour. Kudos to them for a great job done 👍 Thank you to 3playtopia too for being the platform to make this trip and dream possible for us.

Thank you Christine & Ben for an experience of a life time . Great experiential art appreciation trip . So awesome . Ben & Christine are a power team . Art tour was so well organised . The trip is made meaningful because Ben was there to explain things to us and to help us see things from the artists’ point of view & objectives , giving us different perspectives. And of course Ben obviously loves art and his passion is seen through his enthusiasm in sharing information and insights with such clarity , joyfulness and eloquence. A refreshing change from the usual holiday. So enriching and rewarding! A good guide makes the difference, and we not only have a guide, we have an artist who ‘shares’ his ‘eyes’ with us .

I personally feel that it’s a trip that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. If you’ve always been curious about art festivals, but don’t know where to start, or can never find the right group of people to go with - this is an ideal trip to join. The itinerary is compact and well planned for maximum experience. I enjoyed going with like-minded people and having the space for discussions. Our guides Christine and Ben also made a difference with their thoughtful planning and engaging interactions.

Island hopping combine with art viewing. Where can you get such a unique experience? Get ready your walking shoes and adventure spirit. I clocked 20K steps per day on average. The wow moment for me is every time when the ferry approaches the different islands. The view of the whole island is simply awesome. Each island has their own character waiting for visitor to explore and experience. Thanks to our organizers, Ben and Christine, we do not need to look at maps or worry about the bus/ferry timings. They have chosen the artworks and curated the route, we just follow. We save the effort in doing homework. We have our personalized guided tour and art discussions among the tourmates. Do not be scared by the word "art", Ben will make you feel like an art guru with his lively sharing. And I totally understand now why some museums or artworks say no photos or videos. The beauty and experience can only be enjoyed on site. No phones or whatsoever can do its justice. Just relax and allow yourself to immerse. The ferry and bus timings between different islands makes it very tricky for planning and for meals. Thanks, Christine, for making the best out of it!

In this trip, we got to experience Japan off the beaten tracks. We visited lovely scenic islands, went inside number of traditional Japanese buildings and even explored caves rumoured to be occupied by monsters of the past. This tour is not just about seeing but also about experiencing and getting in touch with our senses. I'm not familiar with most of the artworks but nevertheless enjoyed myself during the trip. Our tour guides' (Ben and Christine) sharing definitely made the experiences more relatable and sometimes touching. They had also put in much effort in the planning as there were lots of coordination required to manage various timeslots for ferries, bus and sights on different islands. If you're looking for something different, and whether your familiar with art or not, I would highly recommend joining Ben and Christine on this trip! 😀

It was good that preparation for the hike started early. Training as a team helped to build up the camaraderie amongst us and at the same time helped us to gauge our personal stamina and form. It will be good to have more sessions of training. Valuable tips and advice on the types of clothing, shoes etc given by Wei Si to pack for the hike were very helpful. Throughout the trip, Mabel and Wei Si took very good care of us, listened to our concerns and respected the decisions that we made. Wei Si was very patient in teaching us how to use the hiking poles and correct ways to descend to lessen the impact on our knees. I like the flexibility that we were able to change our itinerary according to the group's interest.

Both of my hands suffered frostbite (became completely numb), which prevented me from reaching the summit. • In terms of effort, I would personally rate this hike as SIONG."

Never a dull moment! For 10 young seniors, we hiked up Hallasan, took the speed boat at Udo island, snorkel at Hyeopjae, paraglide, went cafe hopping, relaxing in jjimjilbang, found ourselves "lost" in the reeds of Saebyeol Oreum, feasted on fresh seafood, drenched in the setting sun at popcorn beach..stayed at clean accommodation, driven around by friendly driver who doubled as our photographer. A memorable trip for a group of friends who had known each other for almost 50 years. A big thank you for facilitating and accommodating our itinerary.

Yukinobu Koshi san was an excellent guide with tremendous amount of local knowledge and trekking with him was very enjoyable as he showed us all the hidden gem along the Nakasando trail. Hotels were very nice and met expectations, but not the first night stay as I personally always have a preference for modern facilities and newer hotels. Food in general was average at best for me, mostly fairly simple ingredients with lots of local vegetables. However being a foodie and a seasoned traveler to Japan, I would have liked to have more premium seafood and beef. Transportation was seamless and well arranged, but would be better if we fly into Nagoya and reduce the journey on the road. Overall, it was a memorable trip and good service provided by everyone on the team.

The vehicle that takes 10 travellers is very clean and comfortable. The driver is also very professional. Jeju is a beautiful destination with many facets of offerings - chill cafes, sumptuous seafood, adrenaline pumping activities such as jet boat ride in Udo island, paragliding. There are many ways to enjoy hiking in Hallasan - the jewel of Jeju. There are easy trails for beginners (about 2 hours to complete) as well as the more challenging tracks that takes about 8-10 to complete. Hope to visit Jeju for golf in the future.
